Project Management
Project teams
At Digital XPress, we are organized into project teams that consist of project managers, system developers and graphic designers, depending on the nature of the task. Over many years, these teams have built up solid experience of project management within Digital XPress’ business area, i.e. graphic production, and developing technological solutions for marketing organizations. It is always the same group of employees that performs the client’s tasks throughout the course of the project – from the start of the task at Digital XPress until it is implemented with the client. The project manager will advise you on everything relating to the tasks, and will coordinate all elements and parties involved, so that the budget, quality and deadlines are adhered to.
Consultants
We have extensive experience of consultancy work, and will naturally be pleased to help you with your specific challenges and issues. In addition to the products in our standard product suite, we develop customized solutions for clients with specific needs. In order to manage these special solutions in collaboration with our clients, we use skilled consultants who know the products, the market and the clients’ needs.
CMM processes ensure quality of our IT deliveries
A well-established, documented project model gives a better result and greater satisfaction in working on our products, both for our clients and for our staff. Among other things, this is because the project model is visible, communicable and repeatable. In other words, there are:
- Clearly defined processes
- An optimized, manageable project model with clear rules for planning, management and development
- A clear division of responsibility and work across the organization in respect of the client
- Increased quality through ongoing improvement reviews
- Close contact with the client throughout the project’s lifetime, through frequent iterations in Scrum, a flexible development model
- Great assurance of repeating successes from project to project, and continuously improving the process and eliminating any inconvenience.
At Digital XPress, we use “Scrum” as the development model in our IT department.
Scrum:
- is iterative (the process in Scrum is repeated in fast cycles of 3 weeks)
- is flexible and adaptive
- focuses on the creation of commercial value
“Flexible and adoptive” means that the project (clients, project managers and developers) constantly collaborates in order to learn and adapt rapidly to the actual conditions and navigates accordingly, instead of forcing clients in an agreed direction that might not give the best value – i.e. “change is free”.
“Focus on commercial value” means that, at any given time, the project ONLY works with the tasks that the client has given the highest priority – i.e. the tasks that the client gives the most commercial value. The client can of course change the prioritization free of charge every third week – “change is free”. All that is required is for the client to be involved with the project.
CMM: Software Capability Maturity Model
Scrum: A well-known, flexible software development method, with frequent iterations and close contact between the project manager, developer and client.
